SPOTLIGHT PUMPKIN PATCH – HIGH LODGE FARM
High Lodge Farm – With a Spooky Trail and big field of pumpkins and lots of photo opportunities, High Lodge Farm will be opening for selected dates in October. They’ve got thousands of pumpkins of all different shapes and sizes for you to take home. Fill a wheelbarrow and enjoy a spooky woodland trail, Halloween games area and NEW for 2024 a barrel train! They even have after dark sessions for a truly spooky Halloween experience.

Millets Farm Halloween Spooktacular (Frilford, near Abingdon)
Millets Farm will be open again this Autumn, packed full of plump pumpkins to pick, spooky props to explore and plenty of fun for the whole family to enjoy. This year they’ve got some NEW optional extras to add-on to your pumpkin picking experience to enhance your day out! Open for weekends only from 28th September, then daily from 18th – 31st October.
Pumpkin Picking & Scavenger Trail at Carrimers Farm with Ridgeway Adventures (near Didcot, Wallingford, Goring)
The pumpkins are all grown on site, so you can pick your pumpkin right from the spot it grew from. There are a lots of unusual varieties of pumpkins as well as the traditional orange Halloween pumpkins. £3 entry to the pumpkin patch then pay for what you pick (Aston Tirrold, near Didcot)
Earth Trust Pumpkin Patch (Little Wittenham)
Earth Trust had a successful first Pumpkin Patch last year, and they will once again be welcoming visitors young and old to the farm. Get your hands dirty and boots muddy as you pick pumpkins and squash direct from the growing field. There’s a maize maze too which we loved last year as well as storytelling for little ones, hands on science in the Earth Lab ‘Discovery Zone and a scarecrow trail around the farm.
Hadsham Farm pumpkin patch (near Banbury)
Hadsham Farm pumpkin patch will return this year from 19th to 31st October. Last year the pumpkin pop up event also had a spooky sensory trail, indoor sandpit and outdoor playground
Carve Your Pumpkin at Roves Farm (Sevenhampton)
Roves Farm always have lots of great activities over October half term. Take the chance to carve your very own pumpkin. Bonus for the grown ups – leave the mess there!
Rectory Farm will have several pumpkin varieties for you to pick. Pop your pumpkins in one of the handy wheelbarrows to transport them easily from field to farm shop, and don’t forget to pose for a few snaps on the hay bales. Lots of extra harvest festival themed activities too. (Stanton St John near Oxford)
Fairytale Farm have lots of family friendly Halloween activities and fun this October half term. Head to the Beast’s Kitchen Carving Marquee to pick a pumpkin and carve your own Jack-O-Lantern, or get creative with paints to transform your pumpkin into a scare-beast!
